Easy Updates For Your Bathroom
Making a house a home is something we believe in. Anyone can have a house but making it a home can take time, effort and sometimes quite a large budget. There are some things that can be done that won’t break the bank and that won’t leave you pulling your hair out in frustration. We are working with National Home Improvement week to offer tips and advice that can help renovate your bathroom into a space you enjoy being in.

Ice cream colours

Spring has arrived, so it’s time to banish the greying towels to the rag pile and pick up some soft creamy colours that would go perfectly with any bathroom. Soft blushes and light lemon tones will bring spring to life and won’t cost a lot to update. It can also be a good stepping stone if you are considering a bigger renovation in the future to start using the towels as a starting point for finding a colour scheme you like.

Little updates

Buying an entirely new suit isn’t something everyone is able to do, so updating the most used and smaller bathroom accessories can make a big impact. Own a soap dispenser or toilet brush holder that has seen better days? Our Toilet Brush Holder is a discreet but stylish way to store your toilet brush, and our Black Foam Soap Dispenser is a sleek and decorative way to keep your hands clean while also helping to reduce the amount of hand soap that you use. Even an update as small as replacing your toilet roll holder with a freestanding Toilet Caddy will make the world of difference.

Tidy up your counters

Counters are notorious for getting cluttered with products, if you’re tight on space use your counter top but buy some wire storage. Hear me out, there are some that are specifically designed for mounting to walls, however some are able to be adapted. Simply place the wireware on the counter and pop your products in it. It will create the illusion of a tidy space when really it is all simply in one place. Buying a corner basket and tucking it into the corner of your bathroom will hide it away, or be really sneaky and hang your products on the back of your door with a hook over basket. If you really want to get creative there is nothing wrong with using a cake stand or rotating stand to conveniently store products. Alternatively, if you have any cupboard space the baskets can be used to organise and utilise what you have rather than hide everything to the back.

Finishing touches

If you’re thinking about renovating your bathroom but it might take a little longer than you’d like change around accessories that aren’t too tricky to. Bath mats and shower curtains show the signs of wear and tear easily if not cared for properly, so replacing them is something to consider which will give a fresh look to any bathroom. Keeping it simple and clean with white is perfect for a future monochrome feel or making it bold and bright, perfect for moving into the spring and summer months. Making this change and cleaning them regularly will keep them fresh until the time comes for you to either make some more renovations or they can be the final touch to a bathroom you’re already content with.

We are giving you the chance to win either the Yellow & Grey Chevron Textile Shower Curtain & Grey Pebble Memory Foam Bath Mat or the Aqua Soft Cushioned Bathroom Mat & Aqua Textile shower curtain so that you can make a start on updating your bathroom today!
