Getting your bathroom ready for summer
It’s about time we started looking at how we can make our bathroom summery and bright to fit with the changing of the seasons. Here are some easy, inexpensive ways to get your bathroom summer ready.

Add extra life with flowers and plants

Having a bunch of bright and colourful flowers or a potted plant in your bathroom can elevate the look and feel of any room. Plants like Succulents, Spider Plants and Aloe Vera are low maintenance.

Always ensure there is sufficient air flow, and sunlight for your plant to thrive.

Incorporate white wood

White wood is a great way to add a light and airy feel to the bathroom. By choosing a bathroom caddy, accessories or toilet seat in a white wood style you can set the tone for the summer and create a cosy yet light and clean atmosphere.

Don’t overcrowd the window

This may seem like an obvious one, but many people tend to overcrowd the window sill with large ornaments and this blocks some of the light that could be brightening up your room! Stick to minimal and small ornaments if you do choose to decorate your window to allow as much light to enter the bathroom.

Keep the windows clean

If your window is in close proximity to the bathroom you may have noticed it build up a layer of stubborn watermarks. Just like with shower screens, clearing these marks can help to open the room up and allow more light through. Keep a squeegee nearby to wipe away water droplets before they turn into those unsightly marks!

Update the lighting

If your bathroom doesn’t have a window, updating your lightbulbs to energy saving white bulbs can make a huge difference to the room. This will help to brighten up any walls and shiny surfaces in the bathroom.
