Summer projects
Everyone loves having a project right? That garden fence that needs fixing…those rooms that need re-painting… maybe even the car that just needs a good old clean! The jobs that you say you will get done this weekend, maybe next weekend, or maybe even next month.

A summer break is the perfect time to get these jobs finished! If you’re one of the lucky ones that don’t have a project that needs doing, maybe you should plan one? There’s nothing more rewarding than using your time off to get something productive done and dusted. After all, what else would you have done with those long days off?

Here are some ideas for you to get your teeth into:

De-weeding and tidying the garden

There’s no better time to start working in the garden. You get to spend all of your time outside and in the sunshine, and can really see your work making a difference. The benefits are so rewarding being able to sit outside in a garden you feel proud of.

Never underestimate how much work you can get done with just your garden gloves and a few good songs to listen to! You might even get some new flowers planted!

Try your hand at a bit of bathroom DIY

Let’s face it; your bathroom is one of the most important rooms in the house, so making some small improvements can really boost the ambience. Simple things such as matching bathroom accessories, Illuminated mirrors, pictures or just a splash of colour are a good starting point.

Have a move around

I don’t mean you personally, but adding a bit of Feng Shui to your home can really improve the whole ambience, and give you a new perspective of a place you’ve lived in for 20 years.

It’s always a good idea to shake things up occasionally, you know… keeping it interesting, and doing this is an affordable way to make a big impact on your home. It can also double as a really good workout, so you can certainly skip the gym that day!

Take an interior design course

Having control of how your home looks and feels is a great feeling, and (we may be biased) but starting with the bathroom is a great place. It’s the first place you go to in the morning to shower and get ready for the day ahead!

Learning about the interior tips and tricks within the bathroom can add a superb advantage, and you’re sure to impress your friends with your new ultra-stylish home. We have some excellent examples and ideas in our previous blogs, so be sure to check these out too!

Having a project to get stuck in to can really give you that motivation to seize the day, not to mention the rewards you get from it. Let us know any other great ideas you have to make the most of your summer!
