The importance of FSC
Aligning with FSC gives everyone peace of mind that our materials are responsibly sourced and regulated when choosing to purchase one of our products.
The FSC stands for Forest Stewardship Council, and is an important organisation to be in involved with.

So why is it so important to align with them?

They have higher standards than any other forest certification scheme, giving the best assurance that certified forests are being managed responsibly.

They ensure that products comply with applicable laws, regulations and nationally-ratified international treaties, conventions and agreements. It also ensures the companies are maintaining a high standard of wellbeing for their employees.

FSC provide the highest standard of protection for endangered species and forests, providing a safe and secure future for our planet.

If wood is sourced from FSC certified forests, buyers and sellers can have peace of mind that their wood products are not only renewable, but that they come from forests that are managed responsibly.

FSC is the only wood certification scheme endorsed by the major environmental charities, including WWF, Greenpeace and The Woodland Trust.

FSC is a market-based initiative which also ensures better conditions for the forest and the people whose livelihoods depend on.

Many of our toilet seats, cabinets and furniture are FSC certified, so you know you can buy in confidence from a selection of wood products.

Maintaining our world’s forests is of the upmost importance. The forests are essential to our existence, and remaining compliant with the FSC ensures our impact on the planet is kept to a minimum.
