Croydex employees to take on Tough Sh!t for WaterAid

Employees from Andover-based Croydex are in training for the dirtiest toilet dash they’ll ever make in order to raise money for WaterAid.
A team of 11 runners from the bathroom accessories specialist are entering Tough Sh!t in November. They hope to raise £2,500, which will go towards installing toilets in communities currently without this basic facility.
Worldwide 2.5 billion people don’t have access to a decent toilet. Many have no choice but to go in the open, which can be embarrassing and also spread diseases. WaterAid wants to see everyone have access to water, sanitation and hygiene services.
Tough Sh!t is a 10k course with 20 toilet-themed obstacles to tackle along the way. Participants will have to conquer the Toilet Toil, make it across the Floaters and survive Porta Slide, as well as other loo inspired challenges.
Among the Croydex team limbering up for Tough Sh!t are Business Development Director, Julian Williams, and Head of Trade Sales, Alex Balfour.
Julian said: “Tough Sh!t is going to be great fun but there’s a serious message behind it all. In the UK, we take our toilets for granted. Meanwhile, elsewhere in the world billions of people don’t have access to safe water and sanitation.
“We will be raising money for WaterAid to support the great work they do to help fight the spread of disease due to inadequate toilet facilities.”
Tough Sh!t takes place on the 15th October in Surrey. You can support the Croydex team by making a donation on their JustGiving page: All money raised will go to WaterAid.
