The small legs on the Flexi-Fix hinges are, by design, meant to keep the hinge above the surface of the pan so you can align your seat correctly. To avoid a disappointing installation, ensure all three legs on each hinge has collapsed and that the bolt is fully tightened. If possible, a bottom fix installation will ensure maximum compression from the seat and avoid it coming loose over time.
